Preorder my album Ripples of the Past now

Ripples of the Past, the album, now available for preorder

Hello all,

Ripples of the Past, my latest and most personal album to date, is now up for preorder.

This project has been a lifelong work in progress—one I didn't expect to create, let alone release, yet one that has truly and fundamentally changed my life and art for the better.

You have a few options at the link: you can purchase the album digitally (which comes with an instant download of all three of the singles I've released thus far - "NFC", "Ground Zero", and "Once Familiar Friend") or you can order the physical CD, which comes with the digital release as well. The CD also includes a 12-page insert with all the lyrics.

Also, if you're a new follower or you've otherwise never bought one of my projects before, my full discography—every song I've released as a solo artist going back to 2012—is now available digitally in a discounted bundle.

My 33rd birthday is tomorrow (July 17th), so if you're looking for a last-minute present, I'd be over the moon if you got a copy of Ripples of the Past for yourself. 🫶🏾

Here's the track listing:

Act 1: Age of Minority
1. Of Framingham
2. Ground Zero
3. NFC
Act 2: Age of Maturity
4. Is That Alright?
5. Once Familiar Friend
6. Happiness
7. Unreliable Narrator
Act 3: Age of Majority
8. Sandpaper
9. The Year That Changed Everything
10. Ripples of the Past
11. For One, For All

I had the chance to talk at length with blogger and musician Marc Schuster about the evolution of my music and how this album came together. It's a truly incredible interview that sheds light on my journey and artistic intentions, both with this new project and my music career as a whole; I'm not sure I've ever articulated all of this so clearly before. I hope it resonates with you.

Thank you, always, for your support.

- Ray

Ray Curenton - The Year That Changed Everything

Friends, I’ve been trying to complete the song I’ve just released today since 2013. It can be very difficult to release painful memories and emotions into words, to give voice to those words, and then to find the courage to share that voice with the world. Each song that I’ve shared from this new album has been a similar kind of trust fall: trusting myself enough as a communicator of my own story, and trusting you all to have open ears and hearts to hear it. But this song in particular is...
